Hey guys,

Having a small problem on the Dragon with MSN Messenger v. 8.1. Whenever I choose to close it completely (right click the tray icon and exit), it stays in the RAM memory, although it is NOT possible to use it. That means whenever I decide to start it again, I have to manually kill it from the task manager.

Any ideas to what could fix this prob?

check the options and uncheck start on startup.. That should remove the process from running all the time.

It is unchecked, I don't like having it starting at boot ;)

download http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ unlocker

search out program folder for msn messenger /Program files/.....

Use unlocker to delete the folder. (right click, then select delete) then use CCleaner to remove any leftover registry files from messenger.

-restart, then reinstall messenger. see if that works.

give up trying to fix it and send the Dragon to me :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
