In the startup list of MSCONFIG is a program which I have deleted.

Why is it still in the mscinfig startup list. I have run RegCleaner and while this tidied up a whole heap of stuff this program still remains in the listing. I have even followed the path indicated for the file and it is not there?

Being a fanatic for keeping things clean I'd rather like to get rid of this... any ideas?

Why don't you just use the 'Startup List' section of RegCleaner and remove the item from the list?

You can remove inactive entries in msconfig by deleting subkeys of:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
