Hi,

I use Musicmatch Jukebox 7.2 Plus for converting the songs.

I wanna ask whether is there any diference between a mp3pro format (64kps) and a Mp3 format (128kps).

Is it better for me to convert all my songs into MP3 pro???

ahhhhhhhh?, maybe I'm missing something but 128kbs is mutch mutch better than 64kbs (sounds better).

mp3pro ocupies less space and does NOT lose any quality to the normal 128 mp3s or so i'm told

uses about half the space as a normal mp3, the quality I can't hear any difference and I got a nice sound set up.

what?, what do you mean quality is the same?
It is twice as bad.
BUY CD'S :400kbs

MP3Pro is different than MP3. With pro, you get the quality of a 128 mp3 in half the space (64). I wouldn't personally go the pro route since it is a liscensable technology. Therefore, many hardware players do not and will not support it. If you're worried about space, I'd suggest the ogg vorbis format which is higher quality than mp3 at a smaller bitrate. Also there is already some hardware support and more will follow.

One other suggestion I would like to make, instead of using music match to rip and encode, use Exact Audio Copy and the Lame.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
