I've been keeping an eye on the Mozilla site for the past week or so, and 1.3 has now gone final.
More info in the news post here

Enjoy! ;)

Allright! New version!

Thanks! :)

After what happened with v1.2 I'm gonna wait a week or two.

since I can't uninstall explorer, I'll wait for longhorn

Phoenix 0.6 (with a new name due to copyright issues) is likely to be released sometime this month as well :)

Before i squeeze 11mb through my 56k, are the problems that were in the beta still present? (downloading pages instead of files etc...)

Unfortunately, yes :(

It still tries to save image attachments, and the problem is peculiar to vBulletin only

I've read in bugzilla some time ago that this is the correct behavior, i can't find that bug report now

Currently using 1.2.1. The pop-up blocking alone was enough to sell me. How do I install 1.3 without losing all my setings/bookmarks etc.? They do not recommend installing over a previous version. Will an uninstall leave the necessary stuff available for 1.3?

Thanks

They do not recommend installing over a previous version.

they dont???? i install it yesterday over 1.2.1 no problems so far.......

I usually just open up "add/remove programs" un-install the one im using, then install the new version.
not sure if this works for everyone, but its always worked for me since v1.0

Hey Speedy,

So all you stuff was still there. No redoing bookmarks, start page, preferences etc.?

yup, because un-installing only removes the files that Mozilla originally created. So the bookmarks etc that have been created after installation remain and get picked up by the next installation.

if you want to be safe then backup bookmarks.html and prefs.js from
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\random.slt

I've just upgraded from v1.2.1 to v1.4a (thought I'd skip 1.3 just to be different :p :D)
I did as i said before.
Control Panel
Add/Remove
remove mozilla
install 1.4

all bookmarks and settings are kept. :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
