My girlfriend saw "The Notebook" last week, and loved it so much that she talked me into going with her to see it again. I was a bit resistant for what should be obvious reasons, but I conceded since I know that she's had to endure movies I like.
So I saw the movie tonight, and I have to admit it was worth seeing. There was little that I'd consider extraordinary, but the story was good, the acting solid and the script cheese-free... cheese is always my biggest concern when it comes to romantic movies.
"The Notebook" flowed well and actually had more depth to it than I expected, considering the simplicity of the story. I'd recommend it to couples, to girls or to guys wanting to get in touch with their emotional side.
