Hey everyone, I was just shopping around for a new motherboard for my AMD Thunderbird 1.4 GHz CPU, but I noticed that the Socket A models are not very easy to find. Would anyone recommend to me a really reliable Socket A Motherboard that will last me a while with my T-bird? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated... :)

Why do you want a new MB? A new one will not give you any better performance.

What features are you replacing?
On board video, on board sound AGP 42 or 8X, USB 2.0, etc.

If your old MB died here's the list:

Buy 2 or 3 of the cheapest and throw them away when they fail. There is not much selection left in socket A and no point paying premium dollars for a dead technology.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
