SOMEBODY HAS PROBABLY ANSWERED THIS QUESTION ALREADY BUT WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS TRUE.

ARE THERE PROBS WITH XP PRO WHEN RUNNING MORE THAN 512MB OF RAM AND IF THERE IS, IS THERE A FIX AS I WANTED TO UPGRADE TO 1GB

ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW THE TRUTH

try not to use caps m8 :)

there is no need to shout...

I am using 1gb ddr right now and am sure that there are no probs with winxp using this amount of ram.. I have yet to discover a bug myself...

quite nicely thanks... had 512 before and got 512 more ram.... works like a charm :) everything so fast...

i did read somwere that xp can handle upto 4 gig of ram....like anyone is going to put that much in:p 1 gig of ram will make it runn sweeet.

/me cries as he only has 256mb sdram :(

It is my understanding that XP can address 4gig of ram if you can find an mb in which you can install this. However there are serious issues concerning the swap file that you would need to contemplate before installing this amount of ram to say nothing of the cost!

I had 512 mb ram, and xp pro.
But my computer was restarting automaticly due an hardware error, so I took 1 module of 256 mb ram out, and everything worked fine again.
Still have to go back with it...

Proud owner of 1024MB or a gigabyte of pc2700 DDR ram. Works great...loving it...want more...

1.383 gigs of ram. It is a waste, don't do it. stick with 512.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
