Monitors

Alrighty then, I need a new monitor. I need any opinions if that is possible. My 2 choices right now are:

KDS XFlat XF-9p 19-inch (flat screen, $210 at Sams Club)

or

Mag 986FS 19 inch ($149 after rebate from Best Buy)

Anyone have any opinions?

By the way, I'm only using a Riva TNT2 32meg w/tv out

I'd go for the mag...or save some money and get a viewsonic... DO NOT get a KDS...right now they are having serious manufacturing flaws. Entire batches of their monitors have been crapping out...you hear gas..smell chlorine/plastic...the picture gets blurred near the center permanently and the monitor is useless

KDS is aware of the problems, they barely question you when you mention your monitor failed, they will offer to send you a better replacement or sometimes even more then 1 monitor...but the problem is I know people who have had the replacements fail

Once again, invaluable advice, Q. well, I'm off to go get the Mag. Finally go the right drivers for my video card too. It will be a good day

ok...i found this deal on pricewatch and i couldnt pass it up
samsung syncmaster 955df
19" true flat screen
.20 dot pitch (VERY GOOD)
last time i looked they were going for like $190 (us)

i had 2 kds 17" monitors go out,just got the replacements today,
so i'll give em 2 weeks and see what happens,but i WILL NOT buy
anymore KDS monitors! lesson learned!
