How can I force XP to let me use a monitor setting of 1600 x 1200 32 bit at 57 Hz? I know the monitor supports it, but XP won't let me use a resolution with a refresh below 60 Hz.

And no, I'm not worried about the flicker of 57 Hz, it was acceptable for me when I changed it to that in BeOS, but now I want it in XP :D

you can try making sure you have the latest driver for your monitor installed and such so that it knows all the maximum modes...windows won't inherently let you go below 60hz...you can try a program like powerstrip where you can adjust almost ANYTHING you want about your monitor and video board.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
