I am thinking of getting Viewsonic VX922. Everything I have read so far says it is great.

Any thoughts?

Dell 2005FPW FTW !!!

:)

The viewsonic is fine, I would suggest going for something with a higher resolution. 1280x1024 is simply too small (imo).

I'm with Saz. I have two 2005FPW and they are simply great.

I need a new monitor, my 19" isn't really cutting it. I agree that the 1280x1024 just isn't getting the job done :(

Very nice selection. If you are a gamer.

The good: Sharp picture; good gaming performance; simple, pleasant-looking design.

The bad: DVD and grayscale performance aren't terribly impressive; minimal adjustment options.

The bottom line: The 19-inch ViewSonic VX922's fast 2-millisecond pixel response makes for stellar gaming performance, but DVD playback disappoints; nongamers may be better served by a more adjustable LCD.

Bottom line, get a monitor that lets you see what your PC video card is putting out :p

Gaming is what I do mostly. I do work with Photoshop also. Unfortunately, price is a consideration. How is the 2005FPW with gaming?

emeritus, as you know I play NFS and the 2005FPW works great for me. The 2405 is supposed to be a bit better though (but that is much more).

2405 has a slightly lower over-all response time. But I haven't heard any of my gamer buddies complain about the performance of the product.

You would be correct!

I have seen NO SIGN of ghosting or tearing when playing CSS or HL2 or far cry....

it is just freakin amazing!!

2405 FTW!

I meant to say slightly higher overall response time (gray to gray) lol.

Been a long day so far

Btw the reason Mlarkid doesn't get tearing is because he crouches and crawls all over the place :smoker:

When you gonna play with me again on the cs: s servers Mlarkid? :D

Les Frag !!!

They need to release CS: S for the Xbox, and make it so that PC and Xbox gamers can play ;p

Sorry for the hijack, but I was just reminded of the Xp0 CS clan back in the day

Dude, if they could cross-platform gaming like that (xbox and PC), that would so rule!

Yah, that would be so awesome. It would be so ridiculously easy to pwn all the joystick mashing noobs on the xbox :smoker:

Like taking candy from a baby, with severe handicaps, and no weapons, while shooting it with a mini-gun, covered in full body armor.

WICKED !!!

Hehee, someone needs to whipe the dr00l from their chin ;)

Seriously though, go invent it right now :smoker:

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
