Monitor recommendation...

I am thinking of getting Viewsonic VX922. Everything I have read so far says it is great.

Any thoughts?

The viewsonic is fine, I would suggest going for something with a higher resolution. 1280x1024 is simply too small (imo).

Very nice selection. If you are a gamer.

The good: Sharp picture; good gaming performance; simple, pleasant-looking design.

The bad: DVD and grayscale performance aren't terribly impressive; minimal adjustment options.

The bottom line: The 19-inch ViewSonic VX922's fast 2-millisecond pixel response makes for stellar gaming performance, but DVD playback disappoints; nongamers may be better served by a more adjustable LCD.

Gaming is what I do mostly. I do work with Photoshop also. Unfortunately, price is a consideration. How is the 2005FPW with gaming?

emeritus, as you know I play NFS and the 2005FPW works great for me. The 2405 is supposed to be a bit better though (but that is much more).

You would be correct!

I have seen NO SIGN of ghosting or tearing when playing CSS or HL2 or far cry....

it is just freakin amazing!!
