Monitor Driver

I'm trying to find an updated driver for my monitor but don't know where to look.

I have a 17" Magview. Not sure what series it is though. I read that you need updated monitor drivers to really determine what frequencies your monitor can refresh at.

If so, where can I find drivers for this. If it's needed to know, I'm using a GeForce 4MX 440.

Also, how do I know what frequency for refresh rates is safe for my monitor

What's the worst that can happen if I lock my refresh rate to an unsafe frequency. For example, I just lock it at 150Hz and my monitor can ony handle 100Hz. What's the worst that can happen...Will it burn out or something...

Can it in any way damage my monitor or anything else because if not, I might try and run at a higher frequency.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
