modem driver problem

i have a blueyonder dpx100 series cable modem and have recently been having problems with the drivers, the pc would suddenly restart then wen i log back on it shows the 'windows has recovered from a serious error. this occours most often when im running a p2p program. From searching around the internet ive heard that its a conflict between windows and the driver and the solution was to update the drivers. this did not help . If anyone can help me out id be forever greatful
