modem booster?

i live in UK in a village where no broadband facility. By chance i found a web advertising Modem Booster software so I have downloaded it. I took more than 10 min. to download then i discovered it was a demo only and they wanted $29.00 for the software. Now , does this demo mean any thing because i can not see it faster. Other thing it realy interferred with my files on my XP windows. There was no Uninstall feature and not in Add/remove section so i can delet it. Please can some body help please. Xazy

I strongly suggest keeping away from unknown programs from companies that make false claims.

Anyway, if you can, try a System Restore to a point before you installed the software. That would be the best way to get rid of it completely.
