only some icons have changes the recycle bin,mycomp,documents etc havent changed ...also the ui fails to load..i mean the theme i was using before applying the patch remains unchanged.

is it because im using uxtheme patch for sp1

Not sure what you mean, Dayle. You mean on the desktop or in submenus? I know that not all my icons changed to MMX because I am also using an Iconpackager theme. They are still the custom theme I asked them to be though. I know there are various DLL files that these customization tools load after the regular Windows resources load. Not sure what that has to do with uxthemes because that is mainly for style files -unless- you installed a theme with its own installer. Some of those also can change your icons, so I am not sure exactly your problem is, but atleast it gives you a good chance to test some things. If you are using an icon package, try removing it and letting windows rebuild the icon cache.

Keep in mind too that if you are using the MMX shell file by Mavis that it is not extensively hacked. If you want an all out MMX suite, try this thread out at ieXbeta:
