Tried to set my reserved bandwidth to 0 and when I type in gpedit.smc it says the file cannot be found. WTF? Any ideas?

Is it XP home your using? Its not included in home.

yeah i use Home...then that's the problem....thanks for clearing it up.

Don't be too dissapointed about it. That reserved bandwidth tweak doesn't do anything, anyway. ;)

Just FYI you can still do it but as yoyo says it has not showen much improvment.

System Key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Psched]
Value Name: NonBestEffortLimit
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: Decimal Percentage (default = 20)

Un4gIvEn1 thanks for the echo

even if the tweak worked, which it doesn't, and even though the tweak doesn't work, just go into services, and shut the qos service off.

won't speed the internet, but it will add to a more swift boot.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
