This is a problem which has been with me ever since I've been using XP. I don't know what I done, but for the past 3 or 4 months it had disappeared and everything worked smoothly. I had to reinstall XP after a minor cockup and now it's back to haunt me.
I've attached a screenshot of my desktop for your reference. Basically, after working with XP for about 5 mins I lose 90% of my wallpaper and a grey block appears covering up my entire screen including the icons. Also note the unamed folder which has appeared in the task bar?
Any ideas what this could be related to and how to fix it?
