I know it can be done. I was using nView to do it earlier, but the program was causing problems with my startup (lots of beeps).

Is there a way to do this manually via a registry tweak?

Turn off the Fade/Scroll effect from Display Properties.
Open up regedit, and go to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

and change the value of MenuShowDelay to 0

Logout/reboot, and check if that helps :)

That works. I had already done the registry hack. I never turned off the Fade Effect though. Thanks!

You should turn off window animations throuth the visual effects menu or in the registry at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\desktop\WindowMetrics
set string MinAnimate equal to 0
That speeds up min/max significantly

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
