hey guys, i have a question about a minidisc player. i want to record to my PC from the minidisc then burn to CD, what is the best way to record the music from the minidisc? programs and connections etc? i need an answer asap if possible. thanks again.

best way is connect your pc to the mp3 player via a digital output, thats is how i have it

You need a double ended 3.5 lead (basically 2x headphone jacks) one end goes into the MD headphone, or seperate output if it has one.
Then the other end goes into the line-in on your sound card.
Then you need to set your recording levels up so that you don't get a distorted or really quiet recording.
You'll need a wave recording app, I'd suggest Audacity (open source).
Hit record in audacity, hit play on the MD player and voilla, all should be well.

yep thats the best way to do it. you can also check www.dbpoweramp.com and www.acidmusic.com for other program you can use to record the stream
