Microsoft Windows Media Player for Windows XP

Everytime i start window media play is says failed to lacate the file MSDART32.DLL. Anyone know how to fix it without reinstalling window? and system restore seems not working.

hmmm if u go 2 c>>windows>>system32>>dll cache there should b a copy of the file there. u can copy + paste this file 2 were it's needed.u may have 2 type in the address 2 get 2 dll cache, not sure why system restore ain't workin though, it may b conected.from the name it sugest's it's 1 micro$oft file.

any 1 else?

try to uninstall and reinstall windows media player. There's a method to unhide it from the Add/Remove program panel. Search for it in this forum cause i must leave now and i don't have time 😛

If it does not work, you could try a repair installation of windows.

i found the file msdart in dll cache. pic atached. work from there + make sure u have the file.....
