can anyone tell me how to activate the RECOVER DELETED ITEMS in the TOOLS menu at the top, i cannot seem to get it to work. I have tried doing it through the OUTLOOK BAR but it says the folder no longer exists. and unable to open.

Are you in a Microsoft Exchange environment with your OL mail client? You Exchange Admin can choose to keep emails you delete for any defined period of time, to protect the user from himself. ;-)

With that enabled, you can recover your deleted files.
