Microsoft Hotmail on P4

I have a Pentium 4 and a Dell notebook networked via a wireless system. The P4 will lock up or slow way down while trying to access my MS hotmail web page. The notebook will load this page and show my mail with no problems at all. This lock up is fairly recent, I've ran a virus scan etc. and nothing shows up. Any clues as to why this would happen only on the P4?
