micosoft office

i have packard bell xp-windows a year old. My micosoft office was damaged then i came to fix it, ended deleting it. Now my friend has just bought the same pc from pc world and his micosoft office ok. Can i coppy his to mine somehow? cheers . Xaz

if you got office with your pc then i should be on the recovery cd. You may not copy it from your friend cause its illegal. Try to restore your pc with the rcovery cd

Better yet. Download Open Office. Just as good if not better than MS Office. And it is freeware which makes it better than ms office.

Just because its free doesn't make it better, it just means its better value, it does have numerous limitations compared with MS Office.
However StarOffice (by the same people who make OpenOffice) costs around £50 and as far as I'm aware has no major differences comapred with MS Office, so this may well be a better (if not cheaper) alternative.
