Messenger starts on only one user???

i have winxp pro with 2 users, one for me and one for the rest of my family. anyway, my family can't use hotmail because whenever they try to check their email, internet explorer freezes on them because windows messenger won't start (for some reason, windows messenger has to start when one is in hotmail). but, whenever i try to check my email through my user, windows messenger starts perfectly.
how can i solve this problem?

i take you have the passport set up on your user settings information?

When you mean "passport", do you mean if the .Net passport option is activated on my winxp account? because if so, then nope, i dont have it activated.

Try downloading the latest messenger version and install it under each of the user accounts.
