messenger plus....what will it do?

ive seen the specs for this little addon, but will it wreak havoc on my system? anyone have problems with it? im kinda paranoid when it comes to third party addons....

as far as I could tell nothing apart from adding another stupid Icon at the bottom of the conversation window...

Incidently this icon seems only for the purpose of giving this programme to others you are chatting to.

While this is true I am sure there are other "improvements" but I do not know what so although it hasn't seemed to mess up my system I'd say it was not worrth the effort in D/L it.

What can it do?

Transparency, automatic logging, text recall, personalized away messages, checking POP3 mail, and some other neat stuff. Install it, and if you don't like it, you can always get rid of it.

Didn't cause any problems on my boxes.

Have you ever bothered clicking the "Plus!" menu, and looking under Preferences? There's a whole bunch of stuff in there.

If I remember right, one of two things happens:
1) It continues to work fine
2) Messenger works fine, but Plus doesn't function, in which case you just need to reinstall Plus.

I doubt it will cause any kind of problem. Been using it for quite a while on two computers, so it should be okay.

Then I'd get menu's, choices, selections to make...

Actually reading through the more sensible answers I now realise that that stupid pop-up menu that bugs me when I change my status to "away" is because of MSNM+!

so grrrrrrrrrr MSNM+!

Yes, that's one if it's features
Personalized away messages ... it autoresponds to someone who sends you a message when you're away. Can be kinda handy sometimes.

Actually thankyou Netryder and apu95 for starting this thread.

I gave up totally on MSNM+! coz nothing leapt out at me as being different. When I get home I'll put some more effort into seeing what it can do!
