Messenger - how do I.......

It annoys the hell out of me that when you start MSN messenger its default start up is "online" which is a pain as it alerts people that you have come online, and should you not wish them to know it seems rude when you just click "busy"

Can the default be set to "busy" or "appear offline" that way you can see whos on first?

cheers

dont think that is possible. this is from the creator of msn plus:
Currently, you can't start Windows Messenger in Appear Offline mode. This is due to the fact that the Messenger server automatically sets you as "online" when you sign-in. I may add a feature to modify your status as soon as you sign-in in future versions of my software, however, in the case of "Appear Offline", your contacts will still be able to know that you signed-in as they'll probably see you online one or two seconds.

Thanks - at least that I can stop scouring the palnet now :) damn :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
