memory card wont show up.

ok...on my pc, when you stick a memory card in it, a little light pops up next to the slot. i have now tryed 2 memory cards and niether have made the light come on nor have they been picked up by the pc. is this a driver problem, if so how can i fix it.

Is everything installed correctly in your device manager?

Has it ever worked?

I'd check the manufacturer site of your PC to ensure you have the latest drivers installed for all necessary hardware as well.

Slot could be bad?

Check the cables from the slot back to the MB. They may have come loose. Check them at both ends. The slot and the MB.

Also go into device manager and open the universal serial bus controllers. There should be no yellow splats on any USB device and there should be a line for Universal Serial Bus 2 Enhanced Controller. If there are splats or the USB 2 is missing you have a driver issue.

My money is on the cable.

dont worry its working now. just restarted my comp. thanks for the help anyway.

yeah my flash card have issues sometimes. The magical reboot fixes everything!
