Mediaplayer2 in XP

The player is supposed to automatically play videos whe launching them, but I have to manually hit the play button each time. Wassup with this and how can I get the default to be set for automatic play?

Best to re associate from Tools/folder options/file types.
Why use m.player 2, when version 8 or 9 are so much better ?

What about the registry? I like the ability to open videos in individual screens. Anyone got an answer to get XP mediaplayer to begin auto playback?

Fixed it

I went to folder settings in Control Panel and reconfigured the file association to "open" with MPlayer 2.
