With all the "interview" threads going around I figured I'd stick my own in... 😀

Called my boss this morning and said "what exactly is my position on the company" and he said "well do you want to be tech support supervisor?"

I said "not sure but lets try it out for a few weeks and decide".

So I'm the supervisor for two weeks and hopefully longer if I'm comfortable. Otherwise I'll just be senior tech 🙂

IF I did that with my current job my bosses response would be "well we call you the mule.. you carry as much as we ask and we can feed you as little as possible" . hehe

I do 3 jobs.. literally 3 people quite and i took over 75% of what they do lol...


The trend is cool everyone is doing it you know. Everyone start looking for work and we can have a lottery like experience every time.



However the only people that post in such threads are over a 1k posts so if you want to move it into heaven go ahead

Also, if you give sexual favors to EP, you can bypass that law. Of course, you already knew that. ;p

Got that back in November, just never really sat down with the bosses to figure what I should do to justify the extra salary. My next review is in November where I can expect around £2000-£3000/pa increase (which my boss said was inline with inflation) if all is going to plan.

Does this mean you get to sit in on interviews also? Orr that you have 3 lackeys to boss around, in establishing worldwide dominion?

I don't get to sit in on interviews. I'd most likely be asleep when the interview was taking place anyway.

It does mean I can pass tedious work on to someone else and call it "delegation" 😛

Congrats on your promotion - I suppose it depends on the company structure as the company I work for is so large that would never happen. If there is a position, it's filled or it's not, there is no trial basis.
