Max CPU speed????

Looking through a AIDA32 report on my system I noticed this listed.





Anyone else????
Thoughts???

I was gonna take my system down today as I need to trade NIC's and clean it. Mebey while I'm screwing around a OCing is in order.

yeah of course u can overclock it to 3ghz. but i think its pointless b/c it doesn't increase noticable performance and it puts u indanger of burning something out

I would not go by the numbers listed in aida or sisoft sandra as an indication of the potential overclock that can be achieved on a system...

for my old 1900+ the max clock that sisoft sandra reported was approx 2600mhz which obviously for a palomino core is miracle status and getting close to a nuclear meltdown

It really depends on the equipement you use to overclock it. You'd need a quality Heatsink and Fan to get some nice cooling.
