My CDRW shows up in the BIOS as DMA2... however my DVDRW shows up as ATA 33. So I am going to assume that the DVDRW should be the Master and the CDRW the slave..

BTW: I am not going get sued for saying Slave?

Just set the jumpers on the drives to "CS" (cable select) and let the BIOS do the work, I've found that to be convenient :) as for the physical organization, I assume you meant that the DVDRW was ATA/ 133, in which case, I'd say yeah, slap that badboy at the top of the cable

The DVDRW should probably be ATA33. And the CDRW is suppossed to be DMA2. Soundds right. And it also should matter where on the cable they are unless a specific manufacturer recommends placement

with the way things work today, on newer computers, it doesnt really matter where you put the drive on the bus cable. just leave em, they should work fine.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
