I do both... some sigs are completey made by me and some use images that I have found or are a combination.

at first I did my own, then I had that bunch of rotating babes sigs which were recropped and then text added, now I am doing my own again. The one I have now I did all myself

We all dabble to a point in creating our Sigs and Avatars. The ones that can't, we help. Again some are images we find but we put or own spin on them (edit deform... whatever) to make them our own. Others are created from scratch. And some of us also make them for others.
