Hey guy's today is my first time installing and using Linux, everything so far is going real good......except, Linux is not finding my sound card (Soundblaster live! 5.1). Any ideas on what to do. thanks
that's wired, it found mine and all that (I'm using SoundBlaster LIVE! Plantum 5.1).... try slecting SoundBlaster from the sound card list thing that well be in Mandrake Control Center under Hardware.
Thx for the reply......it turned out that the v. I used was BETA 3 so I did a clean install and used the actual Mandrake 9.0 and all is well in Gnome land.../hehe/ no prob. found the soundcard and every other device with no problems. Must admit for my first time using this that it is a nice OS.....another question though do you have any recomendations for a player(mp3,DivX,avi,etc...).
yeah, get the DivX codec (if your a total newbie like I am, then all I have it say is good luck with installing it ) and AVIPlay (or something like that).
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
