Mail return

I keep getting mail returns back for stuff I never sent out. The e-mail address I don't use and in fact its my old ISP that I haven't used for the past 2 yrs. Just happens that my e-mail still works. I have ran Adaware, SB s&d, and run NAV everyone day. I havent' found anything.

Someone hijacked your email address @ the server end. Just for extra protection, do you have a firewall that would notify you in case something is communicating out of your machine? Firewall would notify you in case something is connecting to your old email address's ISP server. That ISP should be notified as well.

Your e-mail address was spoofed to send out spam/viruses. Your mail is rejected by a remote mail server because the user didn't exist or it contained a virus, etc. You really can't do anything once spammers have your e-mail address but change your e-mail.

There is really nothing you can do about it, just ignore them.
