Mail Merge

When using mail merge in Word 2002, the dashes are missing in the social security number. Created fields in Excel and I am trying to mail merge them into Word. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
 
I'd love to help, but I have to say that the Office 2002 mail merge feature is a huge annoyance. They should have left the '97 and '00 merge feature as is.
