Low frame rate in GTA3!

AMD XP2000+ @1.8ghz (40c load).
1048mb PC2100 DDR
Abit Kx7333r
Geforce 2 Ultra 64mb DDR (OCed 270mhz core and 490mhz memory).
(2) 20gig maxtor 7200 rpm RAID
Windows XP

Game is ran at 1600x900 resolution.

I downloaded the patch so the problem doesn't lie in instabilites. The game runs pretty smooth except some parts get a little bit choppy. I know it has to be the video card that slowing me down. Is it time to upgrade or do you think i should wait for a Geforce 5 (heh!)?

well the video card is more than likely your problem. also, why are you running the game at that high of a resolution? you wouldnt have as much problem if you tried 1048x768 or even 800x600.

Definitely...no way your gonna get good frames at that res with that board, sorry man.
