In XP Pro when I try to use Help & Support I get an error message "Windows cannot find Helpctr.exe" any ideas? Where should it be?
Thanks

Helpctr.exe is Help and Support Center, and the file is located in: \WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries

...and if the file was deleted (accidently or otherwise), I've attached a ZIP file containing the file. Just unzip it into the above mentioned folder.

Weird I downloaded the helpctr.exe file unzipped it to \WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries and still have the same problem??? Even if I go to Run \WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\helpctr.exe nothing whatsoever happens same even if I double click directly on the helpctr.exe file

try this....

Start, run...

sfc /scannow

you'll probably need your windows disk.

If you used the registry cleaner Easy Cleaner use the undo feature & restore the registry.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
