Losing time! Please help..

Hi

I have a reasonably new (2-3 month) Athlon XP/Abit Mobo system running WinXP Pro. My problem is that over the last week or so, I've noticed the system clock resets to the day before when switched off for a while (say overnight).

Could this be a motherboard battery failure? If so, how would I go about checking this?

Sounds like a battery failure to me.. ya go to your local electronics store (radio shack, etc..) and bring the old battery with your, ask for help getting a new one and the try the new one.
