Like they said above the DVDs don't use drivers. Most likely culprit is the media. After that firmware and your burning software are next up.
Get:
"DVDinfo"
http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ and run it to scan your blank media.
To check your media. They slap pure **** into the DVD spindles. One guy got a 50 spindle of fuji media and there were three different types of dvd media in it.
DVD stuff is in its infancy and I have been very dissappointed. The 2x and slower mdedia is pretty stable. Anything above 2.4x is worthless as far as I'm concerned. Media is unreliable and finicky.
