Hi,
I'm looking for a good 60Gb or 80Gb hard drive. Anyone know where I can find benchmark/statistical data for such hard drives? Any recommendations? Thanks.
Unless your running a server though don't worry about the speed they are pretty much all the same. Look for reliability!
I used to push Western Digital (been using them for 15 years with never a failure). But I've seen some bad reliability reports on their over 100 gig stuff lately so not so sure anymore.
since u looking for a 60Gb to 80Gb hard Drive i reccomend the Western Digital WD800JB Special Edition Drive it should help u in some speed tests since it has 8MB buffer.. its the drive i have and its pretty fast and quite
Western digital or Seagate for sure but in 8 meg cache, Seagate has just joined the band wagon with 8 meg caches for thier 60,80 and 120 gig drives. Funny thing is that there isn't much info on them as yet, seagate doesn't even have them listed, here is the part #ST380024A. Just do a google or yahoo search, they do exist as we have four of them here at http://www.shiftysbitz.com/
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
