looking for a guide to tweak winxp services..

hi boys and girls,

i'm thinking about tweaking winxp services, because i realized that some/many of the services are useless to me.. does anyone know any site that has detail explaination on every winxp services? i want to find out more about each services before i turn them off.

I found this the best way to do it

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/howitworks/management/w2kservices.asp

then you decide what ones to disable

I followed some guides and all they did was mess up my config

I didnt post that site due to the fact a lot of people have troubles with windows Update etc after doing that....

I think its best if people know what the actual service is before they change or disable it, as everyone uses their PC for different things

If you can have a list of the services, you can go trough one by one knowing exactly what it does and what it will affect when it is disabled or changed
