lokitorrent gone:(

actually, lokitorrent seemed to have much more than torrentreactor. maybe not so much in the movie area, but they had a lot more apps and stuff.

damnit.

Maybe osnn should starthosting torrents... or atleast be a tracker :p
heh... jk :) (although that would be nice)

Pffft, they use HTML4-Trans.

I bet everyone who donated to the legal fund feels pretty stupid now :p

Oh, and just for reference, torrentspy gets it's information from external trackers such as Lokitorrent, therefore if they keep getting shut down... no more torrentspy.

Eeeexactly. Hardly the end of the world, just a minor set-back :D

oh yea right i thought it was just down for today

edit: oh when i opened it i didn't have the mpaa notice i had a thing that says the page couldn't be displayed

I wonder if the MPAA are gonna go after people who used Lokitorrent.

Taken from news release:
The operator of that site, Edward Webber, agreed to not only pay a substantial settlement with even greater financial penalties for any further such actions, but by Court Order must provide the MPAA with access to and copies of all logs and server data related to his illegal BitTorrent activities, which will provide a roadmap to others who have used LokiTorrent to engage in illegal activities.

we are trained professionals do not panic we can hide our data very good and change our ip and stuff and yea

.....i thought that it was already decided that getting information from things like that to go after single people was deemed illegal? glad i didn't download any movies and stuff from there.

Now if the lokkitorrent admin was competent, he would ahve loged to /dev/null anwaysy, leaving no logs behind.

i think what they are doing is wrong, and wont acutally get more sales, it will lose sales, because if i download a movie, which i dont download theather movies i like high quality only, i would go buy the real thing if i liked it, which i intend on some titles when i get to canada/states. same thing goes for riaa, people want what they cant have, like saudi arabia for instence, alcohol is illiegal, yet it is the biggest importer of black label in the world

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
