Login Sludge On XP Client

Logging into XP and it takes a good 5min or more to apply user settings...Any ideas?

Setup, Client Side

New DELL Workstation WinXP Client side with Static IP, Within a 2000 Domain. No admin rights locally for user. Server side user has Domain user, and user group.

Try hardcoding the DNS server's IP address in the TCP/IP properties instead of obtaining it automatically. That's what worked for me.
