is there a way to remove the current local area connection that the system has in network places because i cant get my nic card to get recognized is there a way to remove that or replace it

Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager
Open the Network Interfaces section and uninstall the drivers. If it is still not working repeat the above process but shut down and swtich the card to another slot before rebooting back into Windows
