Live Messenger messages always start minimised?

Been noticing that if one of my contacts messages me,in Live Messsenger, then the conversation will be minimised / minimized.

Anyone know if this is by design, an option I have changed and now can't change or is there some dirty tweak I have to apply?

I'm not sure, but mine does that too! Maybe try an older version if you have one, see what that does.
