little help please

when i hit the start button, i no longer have the "run" option. I dont know when it "happened" or if i installed something that eliminated it. But when I first installed XP it was there. Can someone help me out as far as getting that option back? thx in advance

Right click on the task bar> properties> 'start menu' tab> 'customize' button> 'advanced' tab. In the 'start menu items' listing make sure 'run command' is checked.
