LITE ON 48x CR-R Question

I just bought a lite on 48x CD-RW drive, then i saw some firmware updates. Where can i get them, and how do i use them?

I wouldn't touch them unless you are having problems.

I agree. I updated my dvd burner because pioneer recommended
it for 4x media. It hasnt worked since.

I would have to disagree with the replies above i also have a liteon 48 cdrw which would burn high quality disc's with a high rate of errors,i fixed this by updating the firmware from the official liteon site Here and it burns perfectly now.Also it is supposed to match more media and you can update the firmware within windows,it will not install if you choose the wrong firmware so you cannot mess up.

Have a look in device manager first for your exact model as there is a "S" & "W" version of the drive and then update it.

i updated, and it works fine. i just did not want there to be any future problems. oh well, it works.
