Linux on another Drive?

Hey there slackware dudes ;) !

I just came by an old 20GB HD from an old machine and slapped it into a spare bay on another machine. This has XP Pro presently on it's primary boot disc - but I like the idea of formatting this slave and then slapping a Linux distro on there as an alternative to play with....

But I am thinking I bet it likes to play from the C: drive only....

Can anyone advise a good distro for installing on another drive to make my rig dual bootable? Anything else to look out for?

Thanks!

You can install linux on a secondary drive, that's no problem, you just have to make sure that your boot loader (Be it the NT Loader or Lilo, grub, etc) is able to point at the linux boot sector.. where ever that may be.

It'll work on a second partition fine. Just point the bootloader to the right partition/drive as speedy_b has said and you should be good to go.

Downloading a SuSe ISO - going to play with it later in week I expect :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
