Looking to install linux to mess around with on my latop.

IBM toughbook
PIII 500mhz
128 ram
20 gig harddrive.

any recommendations? Suse 10?
Also with linux install can they take windows drivers for like my touch screen monitor?

Most of the linux will work out of the box, although that ram and the processor are not quite enough to run recent distros'

Damn small linux?

You'd be surprised, a nice desktop distro will run on a p100 with 64mb memory. It won't be running at full speed, but it will run.

I'd recommend either SuSe 10 or Ubuntu.

As for your drivers, you'll need to find linux specific drivers, windows drivers and applications do not work in linux.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
