Linksys BEFSR41 v2 | cant download FTPs sites.

i just installed a router and upgraded the filmware, and everything is light fast, but except one thing with my shared cable connection. I cant download FTPs, i dunno y, does anyone know, I tried to disable my firewall when downloading from an FTP, but it still doesnt work. DOes anyone have any ideas.

I have the same router with the latest firmware and I don't have any problems. Which addressing scheme are you using? Some people have problems if they use 10.X.X.X private address due to the weird Linksys NAT setup. Stick with the default 192.168 scheme and you shouldn't have problems. Also, do you have UPnP enabled? Try enabling it if you don't. Also, if you have any port triggers, remove them.

Linksys routers have problems with passive.
Always use PORT.
also the easiest way to communicate with the ftp is to use a client (the one I use is cuteftp pro)--works like a charm, just make sure you use PORT.
