limit upload speed

i encountered a problems last light when my computer was uploading like creazy, it legged the system which also slowed down my donwloads. are there any programs out there that will limit my total upload speed????????

what program is uploading as in the options there may be something about limiting the upload speed for that specific program

it is a P2P prog and i can tell it the speed for each person downloading off me but there are like 100 people so it just adds up

what p2p program? if you say the program then someone may also use it and know if theres a way of limiting the upload speed
